Stefan obtained his engineering degrees from the University of New South Wales. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Australia; and a Chartered Professional Engineer, who is registered on the Australian National Professional Engineers Register, and on the APEC Register. He is VP of Conferences for the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society, and on the Board of Directors of the IEEE Product Safety Engineering Society. For 2012 he has been elected to serve on the IEEE Conferences Committee, representing the Technical Activities Board.
Stefan has lived and worked on four continents. For most of his professional career has worked in R&D labs. This includes consumer electronics, telecommunications, computer networking, and power electronics. He worked on projects that have been successful in winning national and international design awards. He holds a number of patents, and regularly publishes in peer reviewed journals, and presents at conferences. Stefan has presented tutorials at international conferences, and is regularly invited to give technical talks. He has served on the faculties of a number of Australian, British, and Singaporean Universities. Currently he teaches Computer Science courses in the graduate school of CQ University’s Sydney International Campus.
In addition to about 30 design awards, Stefan also received awards form the IEEE. These include the Millennium Medal, the Engineering Leadership Award, and the CE Society’s Outstanding Service Award.
