Dr. Larry Zhang has worked in the semiconductor electronics industry for over 16 years in many different products portfolios. His experiences include research, product development, silicon device and chip characterization, product definition and launch, qualification, and production ramp and support. Some of the products he has worked on include 2G/3G/4G LTE wireless RF transceivers and baseband modems, ADSL CODECs, DRAM and FLASH Memories, high performance analog devices, high speed and high precision data converters, 802.15.4 ZigBee transceivers for low power wireless and sensors applications, GPS and Bluetooth transceivers. He current works for NVIDIA on wireless 2G/3G/4G LTE RF modem test development in Dallas Texas. Before that he has worked for Texas Instruments, Inc. (TI) for 14 years. He has published more than 30 papers and filed more than 10 US patents.

Dr. Zhang has led many IEEE activities and is the Past president of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society and Past Chair of the IEEE Dallas Section. He is a member of the IEEE Spectrum Chinese Edition Advisory board. He obtained his PhD in Materials Sciences from University of Minnesota, Twin cities and MS and BS in Physics from Lanzhou University in China.
